Raw Sulla Honey is a specialty Italian honey produced from the flowers of the sulla plant, Sulla, which grows widely in southern Italy, including Sicily and Calabria.

What it tastes like

• Very light color, often pale gold to almost ivory when crystallized
• Mild, delicate sweetness
• Floral and herbal notes
• Less intense than chestnut or wildflower honey
• Smooth, clean finish

Is it high quality?

Yes. Raw monofloral sulla honey is generally considered a premium honey because:

• It comes predominantly from a single flower source.
• It is often minimally processed when sold as raw honey.
• Sulla nectar is valued for its delicate flavor and light color.
• Sicily and Calabria are well-known production regions for this honey.

How to use it

• Drizzle over yogurt, ricotta, or fresh cheese.
• Spread on toast or pastries.
• Sweeten tea without overpowering other flavors.
• Pair with mild cheeses.
• Use in salad dressings or light desserts.
• Enjoy by the spoonful if you appreciate subtle honey flavors.

Compared with other Sicilian honeys

If you’re choosing among them:

• Orange blossom is often the most aromatic.
• Lemon blossom is the most delicate citrus-floral option.
• Sulla honey is the mildest and most versatile for everyday use.
